I'm Kevin Caraco, a real estate agent serving Mercer Island, Bellevue, and the greater Seattle area — the same community I've called home most of my life. I grew up on Mercer Island, and I still live here today with my wife and our two kids, ages 11 and 12. That means when you work with me, you're not just getting an agent — you're getting a true neighbor who knows this island's schools, streets, and communities from the inside.
Before real estate, I built a career around people. I've taught dance since 1998, and I still teach one class a week purely for the love of it. I'm also in my third year as a school bus driver for the Mercer Island School District, which keeps me closely connected to local families and the everyday rhythm of this community. When I decided to become a real estate agent, it felt like a natural next step. Real estate lets me combine the things I've always been best at: serving others, listening closely, caring for people, and negotiating on their behalf.
Education and My Path to Real Estate
I graduated from Mercer Island High School in 1996, then spent two years at Emerson College in Boston studying acting, dance, and music. That path led me to a career as a professional dancer instead of finishing a traditional four-year degree — an experience that sharpened my stage presence, discipline, and comfort connecting with people in high-pressure moments, which serves me well at the negotiating table today.
How I Work With Clients
I'd describe myself as compassionate, thoughtful, curious, and patient. I'm a hard worker with a genuinely competitive drive — I want to win for my clients — but I'm just as quick to cheer on a colleague's success, whether I come out on top or not. I lead with honest communication and strong problem-solving, and I take the time to fully listen before I act, so every client feels completely taken care of throughout their transaction.
My guiding principle is simple: be kind, patient, honest, and helpful — in that order, every time.
Life Beyond Real Estate
Outside of work, I'm a devoted dad, and you'll usually find me cheering on my son and daughter at their activities. I grew up as the youngest in a blended family of five, and I credit that upbringing with shaping my patience and my ease connecting with all kinds of people. I'm also proud to be part of the large Jewish community here in the greater Seattle area, and I love the social connection it brings. In my free time, I travel, read books, dance, sing, build Lego sets, and spend time outdoors with my family.
